Headlines
Compared to the previous year, January-December 2009:
- Dairies receives 1% more milk
- The average fat content of dairy milk was 4.21% and its protein content 3.45%
- The number of producers fell by 6%
- Milk production declined slightly under 1%
- Buttermilk production declined by 3%
- Cream production rose by 4%
- Curd milk production declined by 2%
- Yoghurt production rose by 2%
- Butter production rose by 4%
- Cheese production fell by 2%
- Milk powder production rose by 80%.
In January 2010, year-on-year:
- Dairies received 2% more milk
- The number of milk producers fell by 5%
- The production volumes of liquid dairy products fell
- Butter production fell by 1%
- Cheese production rose by 6%
- Milk powder production rose by 88%.
