Headlines
- Beef production grew to 83.5 million kilos in 2011 (including on-farm slaughter).
- As in the previous year, the largest amounts of beef were produced in Kiuruvesi (2.9 million kg), Siikajoki (1.8 million kg) and Kalajoki (1.6 million kg).
- Pork production declined for the third year running. In 2011, production amounted to 202 million kilos.
- The largest pork-producing municipalities were Loimaa and Huittinen, both produced about 12 million kilos of pork.
