Tike’s information service will help you find all the information you require on agriculture, rural areas, horticulture and the food economy. We offer reports and a variety of information products based on administrative and statistical registers and a range of other sources.

Our info desk will provide all the information you require on agricultural statistics and administrative registers. The info desk can also answer queries concerning Tike’s publications and documents.

Small-scale searches are free of charge – larger ones are chargeable.

Tike’s Statistics Programme presents the focal points and developmental targets for the years 2009–2013. It seeks to support long-term statistical planning and development.

Tike compiles statistics on the structure of Finnish agriculture, agricultural production, horticultural production and agricultural product prices. We also publish statistical compilations relating to agriculture. Tike’s agricultural statistics are connected to larger statistical systems, such as the food chain, environmental indicators and the food quality chain. All of these are important both at a national level and for individual citizens, and there is an increasing need for combined data that extends across organisational borders.

Farm statistics consist of two sets of statistics covering farms, famers, labour use on farms and horticultural enterprises, and other forms of business.

Statistical publications are one of Tike’s communication channels. Tike releases four different annual publications:

Field Crop Production consists of nine sets of statistics that cover field crop harvest yields and cultivation areas, on-farm use and stocks, trade and industry purchases, and use and stocks of cereals.

Production

Livestock Production statistics are comprised of six sets of statistics accounting for milk, meat and egg production and the number of livestock.
