Headlines
- 14.2 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–March, which is 12% less than during the corresponding period of 2011.
- Compared to corresponding period of 2011 the volume of barn eggs (+9%) and organic eggs (+52%) grew, while those from caged hens (-21%) declined.
- 63% of eggs were produced in enriched cages, 33% in barn-type hen houses and 4% came from organic poultry farms.
